Pros

I have been working with Pattern for the last 3 years as a Principal Quality Engineer. It has been a great learning journey for me. The experience has had its ups and downs, but overall it has helped me grow both technically and professionally. There are good learning opportunities available, whether it is exploring new tech stacks or improving processes. I got the opportunity to implement and improve several QA processes that helped strengthen quality standards and team efficiency. The organization encourages ownership and gives space to experiment with new ideas. Pattern is also investing in AI initiatives, which is helping the QA team reduce repetitive and manual tasks and focus more on strategic and value-driven work. This forward-thinking approach is a big positive. I also got the chance to host a couple of QA meetups in collaboration with SelectorsHub and BrowserStack, which was a great experience and helped in community engagement. The hybrid work culture provides good flexibility and helps maintain a healthy work-life balance. Overall, Pattern is a good place to learn, contribute, and grow in your career.

Pros

Incredible experience. I thought I'd be here for life but other opportunities arose. Management does care about your progress and they care about their employees. In my 10 year career they are by far the best employer I've worked for

Cons

1) Moving goal posts. Businesses change and I got put into a position I didn't sign up for. 2) There are only so many roles, if you can't get them, a natural consequence is turnover to competitors/other opportunities.
