Pros
- Company is growing rapidly, - Exposure to multiple asset classes - Intelligent peers and managers - Steep learning curve - Exposure to fund managers at an early stage - Management consulting backbone to the business (many Mckinsey and Bain alumnus) - Fantastic company culture (has adopted the Bain culture) - Teams are well integrated and an open door policy is in place.
Cons
- Often not willing to retain talent, hence at all levels there is a revolving door of people coming in and out. - Remuneration could be improved and bonuses are capped. - Work trickles downwards in a lumpy fashion, which often results in stressful situations. - No separation of teams between "client service work" and "investment work". Resultantly the "investment team" end up doing two jobs.
