Pros

Nice coworkers. Relaxed work environment. Flexible working hours.

Cons

If you've ever wondered what it is like working with incompetent managers, you can find out here. The entire management team has never had any other job besides this one. This means they never worked in a different company. Never taken any type of management course or training. Never experienced a good or a bad manager themselves. These guys are doing it straight from college, and they are making it up as they go along. As far as they are concerned this is a good thing. This has led to occasional work place bullying from management, and the occasional firing. Parkman is a profitable company and the fact that they have already gotten rid of around 6 people is a really bad sign. Especially since it is a small company with less than 30 employees. (This isn't counting the people who left due to this bad work environment)

Thank you for your valuable feedback. One of the big challenges for first time founders and company builders, is how to recognise great talent. What constitutes a truly great team member? During the past 2 years, we have been fortunate to attract some super talented people who have set the bar really high. We have started to use these very talented people as a benchmark, and become a lot more stringent. We have learned that great management, and great leadership means that everyone can not fit in. Firing people is always the very last option we consider, but sometimes it is necessary. I am sorry for all our flaws, and I apologise for the negative experience. I hope you can look at it as a new opportunity and achieve great things in life. I truly wish all the best.

Pros

One of the best parts of ParkMan is the culture. People are smart, friendly, and excited about the job they are performing. Work-life balance is great, management is generally supportive and understanding. I worked remotely but still felt as an important part of the team and was involved in the daily updates, slack conversations, etc. My manager trusted me and gave me freedom to move on my own, I did not feel micromanaged (and I liked that!).

Cons

Not having an office or a team at my work place was difficult at times, especially because of some benefits that I couldn't access like insurance or 401k.

Pros

Team spirit is on a very high level as well as the working environment. ParkMan genuinely cares about employee well-being and hosts frequent team-building events, virtual and in-person, that help foster connection across departments. The culture is ambitious — teams are passionate, motivated, and always pushing to innovate and improve. At the same time, leadership clearly values people as more than just their output.

Cons

Sometimes there are too many opportunities to get involved — which can feel overwhelming if you don’t set boundaries. It’s great that leadership encourages growth and cross-functional collaboration, but it’s important to prioritize
