Pros
We recently had our 1st Annual Leadership Conference in Atlantic City, Nj. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at the whole event. The accommodations at Ocean's Resort were extremely nice, clean and comfortable. I have attended Leadership Conferences with previous companies I've worked for and the training courses and/or speakers they had were extremely grueling and uninteresting. The speakers Panco acquired were top notch. They kept it interesting, informative and made it interactive. I know many of the managers, myself included, actually brought what we learned back to our teams and had fun little team building exercises. There was a good amount of team building and group interaction, and group interaction with managers from other states. So, you got to work with people from other communities and states you normally wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet. Panco really made this a fun and positive experience, plus the Panco swag was great! I use my Yeti for the gym almost daily and wear my L.L. Bean windbreaker/raincoat regularly. Having it at a casino like Ocean's was perfect, especially for people who are coming in from out of town. There was plenty to do after we finished up for the day without even having to leave the resort.
Cons
The only thing I would suggest for next year, would be the food. However, this is more a reflection on Ocean's than Panco, honestly. Breakfast wasn't bad, but I'm also not a big breakfast person so a yogurt, coffee and juice are all I need. The lunch could definitely be improved upon, and maybe just have some more options other than deli sandwiches and a salad. However, the dinner at Villains and Saints, the second night, was very good. The only other suggestion I have, which again is more a reflection on Ocean's, was the wait for a room the day we arrived. When we finished up that evening, around 5/5:30, I still didn't have a room assigned to me. Luckily, I went up to the front desk and just asked if they had anything available. Apparently, they were waiting on a specific room that had one king bed. They were able to change me to a room with two queens, which was absolutely fine. I think the hotel was maybe a little unprepared for us all to arrive at the same time.
