Pros
Panda Express is an excellent company to work for if you want to excel and grow quickly. The potential to grow and advance is amazingly quick (if you can put in the work and learn). I started working at Panda Express just last month. In a week, I was getting noticed by my manager and upper-management (RDO). My manager pulled me to the side by my second week and told me if I keep working and learning at the pace I am right now, I will have no problem being promoted to lead counter in 2-3 weeks. Fast forward to my one month mark and my manager wants to promote me to general manager. It just goes to show that if you are a hard worker, your efforts will not go unnoticed. Despite what everyone says on Glassdoor, the people in upper-management are really nice. They remember you by name and are always pleasant to talk to.
Cons
The workload at Panda Express isn't too bad. The tasks they ask you to do isn't too difficult, but the company is very clean and thorough. You'll find that it's hard work. There's always something to wipe down, clean and polish. If you work at a busy store, the lunch and dinner rush might overwhelm you if you are new, but it does get better (with practice). On another note, I think the pay is low. I'm not sure why, but some store pays more than others for the same title and work (counter help). I was driving by Brea, CA and saw that they had a banner advertising openings and offered $11.75 for counter help. The restaurant I work at only offered $11 which is only 50 cents more than the current minimum wage.
