Pros
-Night shift differential -Bonuses twice a year if goals achieved -Could have nice coworkers depending on your shift/department -will offer food/some form of gift around the holidays -overtime is always available and sometimes the incentives are big dollar amounts on top of overtime pay
Cons
-Long Extremely Dangerous Commute Due to Volume/Accidents/Weather -Around hazardous substances with little to no protection depending on dept -Very long hours at the job -Clock-in machine is deep inside the building -Parking is a hassle - lots of walking and not paid for that time spent -Shuttle locations are in shady areas where you wouldn't want to leave your car overnight. -Commute costs a lot of money in gas -Most of management are on wild power trips and don't appreciate or respect each other, especially not lower level employees. -Having to wear cumbersome personal protective gear depending on department/operator role -Pay should be higher -the walk to the bathroom in some departments is very long, not great if you have health issues. -water isn't easily accessible or allowed in some departments -factory is extremely noisy, more so in some departments than others, earplugs are not readily available -stretching is not done here, only in some departments do they promote it -could lift extremely heavy items with no help for long periods of time if there are problems
