Pros
There are many opportunities to learn new things outside of your previous background field. Many unique training opportunities. Cool products and the chance to develop one yourself someday. Coworkers are all smart and hard-working.
Cons
The work environment is confusing and I wasn't sure about my work responsibilities. Much overtime. Many meetings and emails. The industry is having a hard time and results in instability within the company. It is a traditional Japanese company with the ups and downs that come with that. It is a difficult place for foreigners to work at. You may often feel inadequate or lonely. However it is a very big company and is very different depending on where you are. That being said, for people with Japanese values, I think it is a good place to work at.
