Hopefully things have turned around... - External Wholesaler Pacer Financial Employee Review

-- Below average comp plan vs. other wholesaling positions -- Heinous work environment (even if you were remote). See below: -- Limited expense budget In 2012 this was an organization that had serious culture issues. Management employed a style deeply based on intimidation and "bully" tactics. It was common for jobs to be threatened (almost weekly) and for employees to be publicly shamed, reprimanded, and in a few instances terminated. Think: Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glenross and you won't be too far off. The bottom line is this was neither a supportive nor positive environment. Morale was at an extreme low across the board - almost everyone (literally) was actively seeking employment elsewhere. The shelf life of the average Pacer employee seemed to be somewhere around 12-18 months. By that time he/she had either been summarily terminated for some deficiency in subjective evaluation* or had secured employment elsewhere - you were lucky if you were the latter. ( * - the product we represented was not easily traceable as it was exchange traded. Much of employee evaluation was based on metrics other than actual sales) This was the situation in and around the year 2012. I'm actually surprised there aren't more reviews considering the emotion and volume of turnover at Pacer during this time. Hopefully things have improved, however the same management is still in place at the time of this review....
