Pros

Flexible working hour, fairly collaborative culture

Cons

PTC = Prepare To Change...and there are way too much change, every year there is a new initiative to change the company from top to bottom, where focus is an issue; talking about focus, PTC no doubt has a broad range of products/solutions, where it also leads to focus problems, it changes from CAD-PLM combo to including SLM, then ALM, then now IoT, by multiple acquisitions...inside SLM itself there are many solutions (originated from different acquired products) to sell, and resource is limited, quite often those acquired technical experts becomes the bottleneck; ALM acquisition wasn't so successful after several years of trying, the revenue potential is not as great as when Integrity was very brought in; now it comes to IoT, which includes ThingWorx and ColdLight, one on IoT application platform and one on big data analysis. CEO no doubt has a big vision into these, and he also personally drives the transformation of the company, together with Michael E. Porter, by publishing HBR papers, and does a lot of branding. However, how to monetize the IoT strategy into real business return is the key, and right now it's still kinda vague. What's more the acquired company has the tendency to keep technologies only among themselves, not open enough to share these with eco-system, which will eventually become a bottleneck in scaling the selling coverage.
