Pros
My coworkers are the best! We all try to help each other get through the mountains of work. We are appreciated for what we do. Also, there is more transparency into job openings in the company, so more chances to move up or laterally if you want.
Cons
The starting pay is average and building up to a good pay takes time. Favoritism happens here as it does everywhere. I think some people are simply easier to work with than others. Then there is the work - there is too much of it for our teams. Everyone I talk to mentions losing people and just absorbing the work instead of replacing the position. It makes it impossible to catch your breath. A little OT is one thing, OT as a norm burns out your good workers, creates tension, creates emotional friction.
