Pros
This company feels like a family run business. I come from the corporate world where many aspects are regimented. I'll be honest, when I took the position as a wine consultant I never thought I was accepting a career but once I was an employee I was treated as a family member and I was hooked, I feel like I'm part of something more important than myself and that made all the difference. Other pro's, let me count the ways: flexible schedule, learn about wine, enjoy wine, meet great people, room for advancement, increased education, benefits, no ceiling cap on pay, TRIPS, all kinds of different competition prizes, TONS of FUN, hang out with corporate staff and they are so easy to talk to that you don't FEEL like they are corporate staff, they are just a friend/co-worker/mentor/trainer, I literally can go on and on but I'll leave you with this - you get out of this what you put into it. Holiday's off
Cons
not a job for people who need a micro manager/ must be self starter; commission only so you get out of it what you put into it; traveling; works weekends & nights so not good for super early birds;
