Pros
Opportunity to work with international clients & travel
Cons
It was quite a shock for me to discover that it was the most badly managed company I have ever worked for. Management could be complacent due to the market growth in ESG, without the need to really consider what is PRI's purpose and value. Lack of rigorous strategy and priority setting, instead ran by favouritism and those who speak loudest gets their projects approved. No induction process, no prioritisation process, no hand-over process, no exit interview (only given to a favoured few), no quality control, just no proper process across the organisation. Worse still, it had an unsupportive and unprofessional culture. I sensed that many people at the PRI had a problem of feeling superior (to businesses, investors) due to the feeling that 'I'm trying to saving the world', which translated into contempt towards signatory members, and short-cutting processes and quality.
