Pros

At PPD, work-life balance is not only a cheesy slogen, they are serious about it, and they did implement strong policies to promote such balance. Hats off for that. However, it is difficult to maintian the balance with the workload. It depends on multiple factors: on your line managers, the trial managers you work with on different studies (one works with as many managers as studies they get, some managers are highly competent, others are a bit less), and lastly, it will depend on your team mates as well. In my opinion, it is primordial to try and speak up if you struggle with the workload. They do listen to you and help prioritize. PPD was a very good experience, with helpful and lovely colleagues, I will never regret the time spent at PPD, and would still recommend everyone in my network.

Cons

As everywhere in the corporate world: extremely fast-paced with heavy workload. The training system could be improved: upon arriving, to complete nearly 200 online trainings... well, that's a bit heavy and counterproductive. But if you are commited, this is still manageable and survivable. It gets easier with time.

Pros

Provided health insurance. Good coworkers Good exposure to team at client site If you have a good technical lead, the job can be great!

Cons

You have 2 bosses (Technical lead from Client Site) and your PPD boss. PPD Boss does not know what is going on If you have a bad technical lead, your life can be miserable. Pay is low No protection from abusive technical lead (coworkers on same team can have a drastically different experience)
