Pros

Autonomy. They love it when you apply yourself. Pay and benefits are ok. Managers are good. Pretty much satisfied. Butt.....

Cons

As in every employment there are over performers and under performers. If you are a slacker you will probably find a safe happy corner to do the minimum and collect a paycheck. If you are a worker you will pick up the slack and do more than your share. You will like it and so will everyone else including management. This will ultimately lead to burnout or worse trying to do too much and then be seen as failing when you can not get your work load plus done. Eventually you may even be cited for failure not because you are a failure but because you are spending too much time doing little tasks that are constantly left undone until you come in. Dirty filters/strainers, plant cleanliness, leaks, messed up paperwork parameters out of accpetable range/norm. Pretty much expect to come back after your days off and take over a plant that has had minimal effort to keep it running. Tune it back out . Fix clean adjust. I can't win. The harder I work the less everyone else does.

Best environment I have ever worked in, you can tell that Poet cares about its employees, I enjoyed going to work.

Cons

You need to be able to pick up on things quickly, the job involves a lot of going with the flow and figuring things out.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. At POET, we are committed to maintaining a professional workplace where team members are treated with respect and where clear expectations, accountability, and confidentiality are core standards across our operations. We also want to clarify that team member compensation and personnel records are maintained within secure electronic HR systems rather than physical documents, and access to that information is strictly restricted in accordance with company policy. The situation described does not align with the processes we have in place to protect confidential information. Individual experiences can vary, and we encourage team members to raise questions or concerns through the appropriate internal channels so they can be reviewed and addressed in a timely and constructive way. Our focus remains on supporting a collaborative, purpose-driven environment where team members can contribute, grow, and succeed. — POET
