Pros
- 1st hand experience working with Global 2000 clients - Equipped to significantly improve/modify business process for major corporations - Given a taste of "consulting" experience without (for the most part) working 60+ hour weeks - Consulting team includes a great group of individuals who really look out for each other. - Development team is excellent and very adaptive to needs of company/clients. - Owners are hands down some of the best people I've had the privilege of working with. They look out for their people and are truly invested in the well-being of employees and company. They're also 2 of the most approachable people in the organization. - Pay and benefits are great - Quarterly offsites / annual customer symposiums are a nice change of pace from everyday work. - Experience here can set you up for a successful future career if you can look past titles and company structure.
Cons
- Upward progression is limited when it comes to title and roles/responsibility - High billable targets and pressure to hit targets - General feeling amongst consultants is that the management team is not very approachable (w/ exception to company owners). - Recruiting message is a little outdated as its focus is still on small company culture of 4-5 years ago instead of a services focused organization.
