Pros

Autonomy to get your work done, small consultancy highly respected by clients, most of your colleagues are great to work with and come from diverse backgrounds, relationship manager assigned to each role to provide support, good contract rates, interesting work depending on leadership style of the team and taking the initiative to exceed client expectations.

Cons

Paid monthly (versus weekly or fortnightly with other contract roles), some leadership challenges depending on which team you get placed in (anyone who is leading a PM Partners team requires better screening of their leadership style), any project training would ideally be complimentary in PM Partners or heavily discounted (a small discount is currently offered) given they are a training provider, succession planning could be improved for valued staff, role expectations during employment signup does necessarily equate to what you do in the job, no staff discounts provided unlike other contract gigs (except for training).

Pros

The team is well regarded in the industry and the business is expanding into new areas opening up more opportunity for specialist consulting in ERP in addition to PM partners traditional areas such as Assurance, Reviews, Program and Project Management

Cons

The onboarding process is virtually non existent. You need to be a self starter and technically adept at finding what you need to succeed. Management is helpful but you can’t spend all your time chasing managers for assistance.0

Pros

Commission (when the market is good) does pay off as you enter accelerators once you hit target. They like to party and splash the cash on work events etc Flexible with if you need doctors appointment time etc

Cons

Will not let you work from home on a regular basis Lots of gossip within the workplace Male dominated in most areas Point the finger when times are tough rather than actually acknowledging the problem is the market
