Pros

Will be working with a young group. Socializing at happy hours and sometimes through out the work day

Cons

There is absolutely nothing that PLS does that makes them stand out from the already over saturation of the logistics/transportation field. You will be calling one person who receives the exact same phone call from 40 other people saying the same thing. This is not a real sales position. All success is from calling at the right time (luck) or just sticking around while everyone else quits or gets fired and you acquire their book of business. The company is ran by inexperience and very poor leadership ability (just because they have a "big" book of business doesn't mean they know how to lead others to be successful). Very easy to lose the job. Even when you do get a "customer" doesn't mean they will come back to you. Very aggressive market. Highly recommend choosing another company. This job and this company should be your Plan Z option. You will probably average around 65-70 hours a week, no time off and you will have to answer phone calls or emails on the weekends. Also, you lose your days off if you do not use them all before the beginning of the year.

PLS Logistics Services Response

We're extremely disappointed to see your negative outlook of PLS. This company is growing quickly, and encourages our employees to succeed. We train, mentor and promote from within. This job and industry is competitive by nature, but rewarding. We take your comments seriously, thanks.

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
