PLS Logistics Services

Is this your company?

It's a great opportunity in sales - Account Executive Trainee PLS Logistics Services Employee Review

Pros

They pay you a salary you can live on while you build your book of sales [this is extraordinary and pretty uncommon]. It's a fair and decent company. Managers are encouraging while holding you to performance expectations. The culture among employees is good enough and it's not hard to get along with each other there. You are all-in-all equipped with what you need to build your customer base. The opportunity is REAL and not in any way exaggerated bull$#!t.

Cons

Had to leave because while the salary is decent, it wasn't quite enough to sustain me in my need to support a family (maybe it would have been if this inflation and swiftly rising cost of living wasn't so miserably high).

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
