Pros
- You can meet great people who are fun to work with. - Depending on the store (mainly stores other than wangara) you can have a low stress working environment. - Work from 9am - 5pm or 10am -6pm - You get to work with the newest computer hardware. - Occasional staff dinners
Cons
- Upper management entirely ignores staff feedback. - 13+ people left the Wangara store in little over a year due to poor management. - Depending on your position you may be strong armed into working overtime even if you are on your allocated days off. This happened almost every month even though we had casual staff available to fill the position. - Still payed minimum wage while performing harder rolls such as a technician. - Very little room to grow within the company. Your time working for the company wont often reflect your position. Some new staff are promoted in under a year while other who have been with the company for 5+ are still in sales/tech positions. - "Lower level" staff are prevented from entering the queue to purchase new highly sort after hardware. - Staff that are performing less that ideal will have shifts cut without being approached by management. I seen this happen to 4 people during my time at the Wangara store.
