Pros
My schedule is accommodating for classes each semester. From the various departments who seek support, i'm able to learn and absorb more information about the Mortgage Industry. The most important pro is, Management, my boss Karen Martinez. She listens to each of us. Has a welcoming environment. Any dept. we support, she tries to ensure that we are masking those skills and takes our personal feedback on the dept.. What we've learned and accomplished and she tries to make sure that with each of majors in College, that it's something we can build on in life after College. When we need to mask a skill within a dept. she sits down and provides us our feedback each quarter. There's monthly meetings, about the company, it's procedures and has team exercises for us to keep the healthy and positive environment that we have.
Cons
Not too much, but not all managers are approachable. Some just look for their employees to work and nothing more nor less. From personal experience, people don't quit jobs, they quit bosses. Have people in those positions who are good people overall, versus just good at their job because they not know how to keep the next. There aren't much opportunities for the Flex Ops after College in the Fort Worth office (can't speak for other locations). With the various majors each person has, there's not a way [for us] to transition here and continue to grow with the company. After a while, the employee starts to feel stuck and instead of staying with the company, they start to feel as if they've outgrown the company and there aren't any other levels for them to achieve, so they leave.
