Pros

No shortage of clients, you don't have to do anything other than massage, you can set your own schedule including hours in a row, hrs per day, how long your breaks are, how many days per week--and you can always add on. PTO! Clients tip high--at least $20/hr.

Cons

Can seem like a low starting pay per session...but take into account that you get paid the hourly rate for a just doing a 50 min session (plus minimal time intake/outtake/changing table linens/SOAP notes) and you don't have to spend any time checking people in/out or rescheduling or laundry.

Pros

-Therapists & Estheticians are always so friendly and so knowledgeable -Good PTO & benefits (No overtime for GM's though) -Free sessions, plus discounts on other services & retail -HR is very helpful & responsive

Cons

-If you're at any management level or above, there is absolutely zero work life balance. Depending on which location you are at, the store can open as early as 8am, and close as late as 10pm, 7 days a week. If you're not in clinic, you're constantly on your phone answering questions and addressing in-clinic issues -Constant management turnover & changes in regional structure -Front Desk hours significantly cut, which means little to no coverage at front desk. If someone calls out, a manager should expect to cover it with how little they allow you to staff your front desk. You are expected to cover and keep your store open, regardless if its your only day off during the week, or even if you already worked an opening shift, but now also have to cover the closing shift same day. That's a 15hr shift, no break, and no overtime. -High metric expectations with minimal support. The Area Directors are overwhelmed and its a gamble if they will ever get back to you when you have a question

We are appreciative of your detailed comments and experience with us. We will do our due diligence to further investigate these claims, as this is not the norm within our organization. Going without breaks and not having a proper assistance manager to help you through these issues is very concerning. Thanking for taking the time to alert us on this.
