Too Much Forced Overtime - CNC Machinist PBM Valve Solutions Employee Review

Pros

There is basically no supervision, mostly the other workers leave you alone. There's insane levels of micromanagment, but because it's so overdone it's impossible for them to actually monitor what you're doing. They will pick something at random once a month to whine about, but it's just noise.

Cons

Overtime is going to happen at most manufacturing companies, but if it's every single week through the entire year it's because the management is flat out incompetent. There is no excuse to expect 150% output over what your machines and people are capable of doing month after month. The overtime at this place is literally killing me. It's just not stop 12 hour days, i'm getting out of here as soon as i can. Corporate sets their goal at 1 and half times what ever number is physically possible to do every month and then they just shove more overtime down your throat like you care if the majority shareholder couldn't buy another party yacht. Union is worthless, just corrupt mafia goons thieving money out of your paycheck.

Pros

Decent pay, overtime available, multiple responsibilities that keep you sharp. Relaxed environment once your familiar with your job duties.

Cons

I contracted Lyme Disease and went undiagnosed for @ a year. Company really worked with me. Eventually became weak and at one point was told to self quarantine due to covid concerns but was told I would be payed for time off then after 12 days company retracted compensation offer. From that point I was essentially left unassisted with correspondence regarding my situation. Union offered no help. I was not allowed to work a shortened schedule until I regained strength. After over 12 years of employment and 60 plus hr work weeks I was accused by supervisor of insubordination, hiding and not doing my job. Illness worsened and was eventually let go.. I was denied unemployment and disability by company lawyers until judge overturned ruling. I did not finish well.
