Students and classroom teachers at Oxnard Adult School are second to none. Students are self-motivated and a pleasure to have in class.

Poor choice of textbooks for English language classes. Teachers need to supplement heavily with other texts and materials to fill the gaps created by the current school adopted texts. Principal is completely out of touch with anything happening on campus. She has also divided the staff into two very adversarial camps; office staff vs classroom teaching staff. Coordination of programs has been delegated to two part-time counselors with no experience, leading to disorganization and lack of coordination between programs and departments.

Great students, small main campus, and most people stick to themselves because class schedules don't run into other classes.

Principal has a sign over her door, "Queen of Everything." That about sums up her attitude. Former asst principal had a sign on his desk, "It's not all about me," and went out of his way to support staff. Office staff now works as a clique with the Queen of Everything included. Teaching staff left out in the cold. The "Queen" does not know how to organize meetings and they're all a big waste of time. She's a legend in her own mind.
