Pros

A lot to learn Fun client work Flexibility

Cons

CEO is absentee, but when present is abusive to staff. Uses personal details against people to manipulate and insult staff publicly. Especially abusive to and critical of female staff members. Pay is too low to make the treatment worth the pros.

I'm sorry you had such a negative experience with us. It sounds like we were able to give you a great team, opportunities to learn a lot, exciting client work, and lots of flexibility and benefits. I'd like to think I had a lot of good intentions and work performed in making that happen. While our individual personalities didn't mix well on a small, high performing team, I'm sincerely thankful you chose us and wish it could have ended better.

Pros

- The work we do for clients is invigorating. - Everyone on the team is encouraged to jump in and contribute. - Issues get worked through quickly and openly. Communication is encouraged, and people take responsibility for their role in miscommunications and misunderstandings. (I've experienced this personally.) - The salaries are fair and competitive. - The benefits are outstanding. Unlimited PTO, fitness benefit, office expense reimbursement for remote employees, fantastic insurance policies with generous employer contributions, clothing allowance for those speaking at conferences, etc. - Team is likeminded on social issues that plague many workplaces, such as sexism, harassment, and bullying, as well as broader social issues that affect our environment, our more vulnerable citizens, etc. - The team has "adopted" a family and contributes regularly to their needs with things like gift certificates.

Cons

- Team is in transition to more automated processes, which brings growing pains common to this kind of shift. - Team struggles with managing employee time spent of billable projects vs non-billable tasks.

Wow! Invigorating is a great word and to see it next to the work we do for clients, it makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Everything you mentioned above is who we strive to be daily. Sometimes we fall down and make mistakes, but with the best of intentions. Having an honest culture paired with kindness and positivity makes this a really wonderful space to grow in... management included! Thank you for choosing us and the advice. We'll always be learning and need this feedback to keep going in the right direction.
