Pros

Ostendio has some of the most talented and fun people to work with you'll ever find in a startup. Everyone is very down to earth and wants the best for everyone on the team. Truly a great startup environment and everyone takes a lot of pride in their work. The product team has done wonders with the platform and it is far beyond anything you'd expect for such a small team. Cybersecurity is also a thriving industry, especially in healthcare, so I would expect great things to come for Ostendio. Would recommend.

Cons

Small team and company so don't expect to be working with huge budgets or to have some of the same resources you'd have access to at a large organization. Everyone holds high expectations of each other and it isn't you're typical 9-5 work environment. Great company for folks who like more responsibility and independence, not a great place if you aren't that type of person.

Pros

The culture at Ostendio is the number one reason why I thrive here. Teams here truly engage collaboratively, respectfully, and with a drive to solve complex issues and challenges faced by our Partners and Clients. Everyone I've worked with and continue to work with, consistently demonstrate a tremendous and tangible drive and commitment to each other and to upholding our values. Also, leadership is eager to engage and provide support daily. Additional pros include innovating features and functionality that don't exist anywhere else! Our teams and the work we do is dynamic and exciting. As someone who comes from a non-profit background, it was the cherry on top to hear the organizations founding principles of being a mission corporation and a part of pledge 1%. To that end, they match charitable giving, so I'm able to multiply my impact to groups dear to my heart.

Cons

We're a small shop so wearing many hats comes with the territory, It then becomes important to practice good prioritization methods to avoid burnout. Although every job has it's cons, the most prevalent for me is not always getting to everything I want to get to do and to exert considerable effort to maintain a balance/harmony of existing backlogs while being both reactive and proactive to partner and client needs. That said, the support of the leadership team works to mitigate this con.
