It's exciting to be on the front lines of the fastest growing industry. I would say the people are the best part, though. Optiv is loaded with SMEs and true thought leaders in cyber security. These same people have been approachable and genuine to me, not coming from a security-specific background.
Leadership has done a fantastic job with adjusting to our new covid reality. Communication has been clear and consistent, and decisions have been made with a people and safety first mindset.
Cons
The only con is a big "if". If you are not accustomed to a fast pace and changing environment, then Optiv is likely not a good fit.

Cons
2 layoffs in a year when they keps saying everything was fine....
Laying off core contributors so now everyone who is left is doing the work of 2-3 people and not being compensated accordingly
Only way to get a worth while pay increase is to move up in the company the annual increases are not inline with inflation or cost of living
