Pros
The pros are that there is a potential here for both Professional and Financial Development. I cam e in as a recruiter and now have a management role. In that time I have seen both my salary and commisions improve nicely. And they started at a reasonable place. Further, the range of clients and the range of positions that StaffIT works on and supports continues to impress. And they are still small enough where you can get involved where you want to.
Cons
Like those who have commented before me, the hours can be a challenge. I shared that with management shortly after joining and I doubt I was the first. The good thing is I do little regarding work when I walk out that door. Generally. As a recruiter sometimes you have to make those calls in the evening. Regarding bogus clients and or jobs? I have never encountered such. And yes OperationIT (fomerly StaffIT) does rely heavily on email marketing. That said it works. You know what could be tightened up is the Health Benefits and the 401K but that I am afraid is true of most firms.
