Cons

There are so many cons that it's hard to summarize everything. Joining here is in itself a very big negative to your career. Don't believe any positive reviews on Google - almost all are given by current employees. If there are any positive reviews on AmbitionBox/Glassdoor then, they're either paid or given by employees under pressure on compulsion by the management/leads to improve company image: No communication on what's expected: Company operates on the model - management asks & you follow without questioning their judgement no matter how absurd it is. Tasks are given randomly & at times when still in discussion with the customer. If it's a new feature you will be asked to work on one story today then move to another the next day only for them to forget about the first one after a few days. Later, you'll be asked about the progress on the first story & since it couldn't be completed you explain the scenario but they will resort to shaming you and question your credibility. If doubts are asked then clarity isn't given as they didn't get it in the first place but, will showcase an image as if it was very clear but you failed to understand. When delivery doesn't happen they conveniently put the blame on you as if it's your mistake for not asking questions to clarify what was to be done & were unable to finish despite all the help & support. In reality don't expect much from anyone here. Extremely toxic work environment: No flexibility in working hours it's 24/7 morning, afternoon, evening, night, afterhours. You're expected to be always available regardless of how many hours you've already put in office & no WFH. You are just another resource that can be asked to work at any time of the day for any number of hours without being compensated or given a comp-off. If you say 'no' leads/management/HR will intimidate you with consequences & often threaten you to comply. They will ensure you work 12 hours minimum daily & won't let you relax on weekends by organizing hackathon/bugathon. In short, there's no work life balance, constant pressure, no acknowledgement on the work done despite hardships & worst of all no recognition for efforts put. You'll be treated like slaves who just have to agree to do whatever's asked without complaining or asking questions. If you do then, good luck with your appraisal. Hopeless management that constantly plays political games: Senior management is just for name sake. They operate their own agenda by keeping themselves safe & play with the careers of others. There's no vision and roadmap. All features from customers are agreed and added into backlog without checking what's probable. They want to get as many customers as possible by saying yes for everything while getting away with minimal overheads. Things are taken as they come & when outcomes don't fall into place the management complains & constantly passes the buck. Feedback is asked but never implemented. One keeps wondering what was all that for. If you question anything you'll either be moved across teams without asking or targeted with never ending work with no help plus poor rating & no hike or worse be put in PIP through dirty tactics. Management will leave no opportunity to shut you down & you'll still be expected to perform with none of your queries even being heard forget getting them addressed. Horrible work culture: There's no synergy across teams. Many a times the blockers are the management/leads themselves that engage in seemingly pointless discussions on who should do the work & ego clashes when queries are raised across modules or when their teams are asked to support some stories. If assigned they just push them to others with no understanding of whether the stories can be done within the sprint or not. It highlights the limited to no vision and regard towards the employees who are assumed to be infinitely stretchable. When you ask about the culture while joining or right after the leads/HR/management won't hesitate to hype it up exceedingly only for you to realize the joke they played later. As long as things are going well nobody cares & that's a fact. The moment something turns slightly bad leads/management will be ready to escape by assigning blame & put you/others down knowing very well they'll not be challenged. Nowhere will you see a work culture that glorifies overwork, stretching to accommodate extra hours day in & out yet be not recognized for it. The logic given by management bluntly to employees will be everyone is expected to stretch and the appraisals will be on these goals. Targets are constantly moved and you're expected to hit them every time. Honest feedback is non-existent & appraisals are below par: If you ever make the mistake of asking feedback then be prepared for a truckload of useless info dumped on you that will make you question your self-worth. Feedback given reflects the leads/management's inability to utilize the resources efficiently but this will be swept under the mat & you'll be left thinking where you went wrong. After all your hard work you will expect a fair appraisal. However that doesn't happen & management ensures it never does. Appraisals are pushed to the last possible minute so that they can be hurriedly done. There's too much favouritism. Only those in the good books that is people who regularly slog in office & at home for 14 - 15 hours, are always available, continuously stretch on weekends + holidays, have no personal life outside of work and don't question anything even when verbally abused or openly threatened are given good ratings & hike. For the rest it's just the bare minimal and one more year gets wasted. Whatever you do it's never enough and some or the other mistake will be found. Still, if you somehow find some motivation to continue they'll kill it by playing politics. Overall, this organization is for those that have no outside life, like working constantly 24/7 all through the year, don't believe in work-life balance, are happy with occasional burger/ice-cream treats, are willing to put not only their career but also mental health & wellbeing at stake.
