Pros
If you get into the "good ol' boys network", you can make some money here. They supply good product training in that you will go to actual boat mfg's and learn about their products.
Cons
There is ZERO work-life balance here. You cell phone will ring 18 hours a day and most days of the week. Expect NO support from management. They want you to work out any issues yourselves. They leave you like a flag flapping in the wind. There's a tremendous amount of driving all over between marinas. Expect literally hours of travel each week. Other sales employees will cut your throat in a second to make a sale. They can care less about you. It's every man for themselves unless you make it into the good ol' boy's network then they help each other out. There's absolutely no team mentality here and once the sale is made, no care for the customer is given. All management cares about is making their sales goals and kicking the can down the road with problem boats/customers.
