8yThank you for your comments and unfiltered feedback, we appreciate all perspectives regardless of the level of validity behind every detail. While this doesn’t disclose when you were part of our amazing post production team, we can only assume it was a long time ago as we do, in fact, have well defined leadership within our photo retouching teams at all locations, including team leaders/supervisors who report into location managers/directors, who then direct line into our regional managing directors.
We’re sorry to hear that you feel your experience wasn’t what you’d have hoped it to be. We always encourage everyone to openly discuss their concerns, whether with senior management in the department/location or direct to our human resources department. That said, as a company we spend a lot of time with our management teams ensuring that all levels of management are always creating a work environment that is fun, energetic and productive. If anything inappropriate or unethical happens in our studios, we always take swift action to investigate and rectify the situation.
PTO requests are always a priority to us because we recognize that rested employees are more productive. Our annual PTO doesn’t carry from year to year; however, this causes our talented team to find the time to get out of the office, refresh and enjoy their outside of work activities. We also added July 3rd as an additional paid holiday this year because we recognize how hard our employees work and wanted them to enjoy an extended holiday weekend with their families. Working in the marketing industry; however, sometimes means that we need to plan vacations around our client’s production schedules. While uncommon, this does occur from time to time.
Workload in a photo studio can alter day by day, with some being busier than others. While there are no “quotas”, we do expect that our employees will be productive throughout the workday and meet our client’s production timelines. While the “dark” environment is due to the editors request to not have the bright florescent lights on due to glare, it’s at the request of our employees. The light switches are on the walls and can be turned on by any team at their desire. We also make workstation lighting available for individual workspaces. Our employees have the freedom to talk, socialize, rock out to music, and do whatever helps them to get their creative juices flowing. Some people may be quieter than others, but we’re proud of the fact that they enjoy working with one another in a creative environment.
While we appreciate your feedback in public forum, we believe it’s important to always have the full picture of just how energetic and creative the environment is at each of our locations. Creativity manifests itself in many ways, and we encourage our employees to always embrace their creative side, enjoy their time away from work just as much as their work environment and come to work every day, knowing that they work for a company that cares about each and every employee. We sincerely hope you’ve been able to find employment that fulfills your creative and personal goals.
