Pros
1. Work from home which helps avoid commute 2. Salary to pay bills provided if you're paid on time That's it.
Cons
There are lots, 1. Time sheet which is basically a stop watch. You will be held accountable for spending 15 minutes on reviewing tickets. If concerns are brought to light, then you will be hassled on Slack and on the phone. Your time sheet will be checked even at midnight (Monday.com) 2. Micromanagement to the extreme. Will be told exactly what to place in a ticket ( I have 10 plus years of Software Support and Testing experience with a masters degree) 3. Asked to work on a complex issues with no more than 30 minutes. 4. You will never get paid on time especially when pay day is close to a Public Holiday and will get your salary after the holidays have passed. 5. You will be asked by management not to send Slack messages to the Engineering and Development Team. This is because the Team will get upset and not help APAC customers when there is a critical issue. 6. Employment contract will list expertise in Ruby on Rails, Linux and PostgreSQL. You will never get exposure to any of those requirements. If concerns are raised, then you will be told that this Role is not for you. 7. You will be asked to work overtime, but if you ask for an hour leave for an important family matter then you will be asked to make up for it. 8. Employees are constantly being lied to when it comes to providing more access to resources. 9. All your time will be spent on hundreds of CSV files to investigate potential issues. Limited time will be given for that. 10. You will not be part of the Staff email group as the intention is to keep you in the background and away from interaction among Employees. 11. Late reviews and no birthday celebrations. 12. There is no exit interview, basically no one cares if you leave. Only the laptop provided is pursued. 13. No compensation for Internet or Phone bills even if you are working remotely. Phone bills will be compensated only if you go on your Managers recommendation of Boost Mobile Prepaid Plan.
