Pros
The team at Omega is extremely collaborative. When a problem evolves, everyone rises to the challenge and works together across disciplines to find solutions. The people are knowledgeable in their fields, are reliable, and accomplish what's needed from their area. No individual is ever responsible for holding up progress.
The team is diverse, spanning wide ranges of experience and expertise, with people covering most of the expected disciplines required for running a biotech company. It is a team of real people, who lead lives outside of work, and who understand the challenges that can pose day to day. As a result, there is a flexibility allowed that is not always found for work, and a true understanding for how personal life can sometimes require more attention. In a sense, this better lends towards people being reliable, accountable, and productive while at work.
Cons
The company is in Kendall Square, which can be difficult to get to for many employees living outside of the city. The office is quite large at this location, so you might go in to the office but not see half of the people who are on site. This is also true since many people work from home on varying schedules (which I am very appreciative for, personally). However, this could be seen by some as a con, if they are not finding other ways to engage with fellow employees.
