Pros
Excellent benefits for a good price. Good training and you can move to other departments if you show aptitude and a good attitude. Very bureaucratic because it falls under so many federal regulations but that comes with being such a huge company and consequently on the governments radar. Friendly place and people want to help each other.
Cons
Many jobs are very physically demanding and the wear and tear can be very debilitating if your older. Hours can vary greatly because of seasonal nature of the industry. Lots of overtime in the summer. None in the winter. Not open to suggestions-everything flows down from on high, but some people work around that. I don't. Feel it isn't my job to 2nd guess my superiors.
