Pros
They get it. I've been at Okta for over a year and I'm remote. I don't see the day to day in the Corporate office but everyone I ever come into contact with wants the same thing. Everyone wants to do their best work and tries hard to get better. I'm not sure what else you can ask for. The biggest plus is that the product actually works. I've sold software for many companies and most of the time I'm apologizing for the garbage I just sold them. Not at Okta, I don't have to spend hours of my week escalating problems to product management. This is a company of workers. It's not for the casual employee that wants to coast into work and not be accountable. The expectations for every employee are very high. If you are not accustomed to going above and beyond and you thing "good enough" is fine, this is not your company. Keep looking.
Cons
Young employees bring energy and new ideas, they also bring inexperience. Most everyone is patient and willing to coach and most of the eager young people are coach able. However, it does create frustration. If you are one of those young people just out of college....listen, learn, this is an amazing place to start your career.
