Pros
I appreciate being able to do work that matters. At OhioHealth, I'm able to sleep well at night. My job isn't about bilking the patients for more money. It's about saving money for the patients and the company, and it's about bringing awareness to patient safety and quality issues. The pressure is usually not nearly as high as higher paying companies. Many employees at OhioHealth have been here greater than 15 years. They are in the top 100 Forbes best places to work for 7 years running.
Cons
The company tends to have a re-org quite often. In my short time at OhioHealth, we've had 3 major re-orgs that affected my role, my position, and my potential advancement. Salary increases are a flat 2.5% per year. Bonuses are practically nil.
