Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad that you saw opportunities to grow during your time here.
As you say, there are individual differences within teams. However, we see this as a strong argument for our manager-led approach, rather than for outsourcing responsibility to a HR department.
Managers know their teams far better than a HR department would. This is why we expect managers to make decisions and take responsibility for them, and for the company to give managers all the tools they need to support their team.
To make sure that our engineers are getting the recognition they deserve, we've recently rolled out a career development framework. One of the purposes of this is to help ensure that we evaluate our team consistently wherever they are in the world, keeping the bar high so that when you do get promoted it's an important moment and milestone to celebrate.
Although we started in the UK and much of our team is based there, we do work hard to build and maintain a unique culture in every office around the world. If you'd like to discuss anything about what we could do better, feel free to get in touch with me.
