Pros
free snacks, and it's a job that attracts talented, interesting coworkers, and the experience will 100% look great on your resume - if you can manage to stay
Cons
I was insulted in my interview by the prior CEO. I witnessed the now-CEO call a team member a b!tch (not in a fun way) on the workplace floor. Raises were entirely based on favoritism, not performance (I was actually told that there was an "unofficial list" of who would get raises and who wouldn't, and that I wasn't on it, despite my work receiving only excellent reviews.) Management asked for team's input on how to stop hemorrhaging employees (retention has always been terrible) and then ignored all of input (fair pay, regular raises, promotional pathways, better clarity around which tasks/accounts are urgent (if it's all urgent, nothing is really urgent), etc.). This company survives on the basis of half-day Fridays and free snacks, and burns everyone outside of the Management Clique into the ground and out the door. Never have I ever had a job that so badly made me wish I didn't exist versus having to walk back in those doors every morning.
