Good benefits and a lot of friendly people. Union affiliated so a lot of worker protection. The work environment is also very lax and allows for you to have more independence with the way you work. Many of the jobs in the office are monitored by the union to ensure people get paid properly so often times you will have no overtime or if you do it is not uncommon to get compensated with time off based on how much overtime you had to do.
Cons
Due to the nature of the company being part of the union, you will more than likely encounter people who are very hard to work with. The budget provided to the company from the government is also not the biggest meaning that things like the computers or servers we work with are nowhere close to being up to date. The actual building is also very old and has gone through a lot of problems meaning that the environment itself can often cause reactions like a lot of sniffling.
