Pros
The environment we work in is so important. Spending so much time there - OX Seven is one of those rare places that is actually rather good fun! There's a great spirit between the team, and Will the MD encourages this. That being said, there's a commitment to working hard, training well, and to maintaining high standards of service and delivery for our clients & candidates. The fun element is important in a role that requires energy alongside depth, detail and focus. The training is fantastic, providing the tools that we need to remain agile and to develop our own sectors - once again, with the ethos of providing exceptional service to everyone we come into contact with. This in particular suits me, I believe this to be an aspect of personality - as I genuinely care about everyone I engage with professionally. The hours for this industry aren't ridiculous, with a degree of flexible working, the tools provided to function effectively in doing so, and a lovely Cotswold's office. (And an Alan Partridge poster...) This is truly one of the best teams I have worked with. We also take care of our mental health, it's actively encouraged. This is the responsible way to do business nowadays, and will continue to gain traction - talking openly about it in the office is an accepted part of environment, and something that I can only applaud. In summary, although I'm still relatively new to the office, I hope this is the beginning of a long happy career with OX Seven!
Cons
Location may be an issue, though there's a local train station. The office is an uplifted, energised place - that won't be for everyone. The team is not your typical competitive environment for this sector - yes there's an emphasis on developing ourselves, but we share as a team as well. It makes for a quite unique environment! But then, in my opinion, that's precisely what this industry needed, and it's the only reason I'm in it now.
