Pros

free lunch and dinner, free grab if stay till late

Cons

cut-throat environment, active replacement of engineers with aggressive AI push, biannual review that guarantees staff would be fired (percentage would depend on the upper management), no work-life balance, overtime is common practice and expected, no job security, heavy chinese culture and language for communication (disadvantaged in evaluation if non-chinese do note), constant work leaving yourself no time and space for learning top-down approach, any advice for management is nullified as the culture is entrenched within and impossible to be rectified

Pros

- Complimentary food and drinks in the office - Some co-workers are working hard and friendly - Hybrid work that can work 2 days from home

Cons

- The company experienced hiring followed by layoffs, which raised concerns about workforce planning. - No severance package, career transition assistance, or visa support was provided following the layoff, which negatively impacted the perception of the company's employee culture. - There was a tendency to assign blame rather than focus on collaborative problem-solving.
