Pros

Work-life balance is good for most, depending on your manager.

Cons

The company continues to be horribly mismanaged. Culture and moral are extremely low across the board. The company is essentially stealing from the poor to give to the rich. ~10% of the workforce was laid off while upper management saw massive salary increases. In the midst of layoffs, Directors were promoted to Executive Directors, Executive Directors to Vice Presidents, and Vice Presidents to Chiefs, while everyone else was told that no promotions will be considered, and to take your 2.5% increase (below inflation) and be happy. All while cuts in staff have increased the workload for those that remain. The only people happy and prospering are upper management. There are only crumbs left to everyone else.

Pros

Great colleagues who are smart and nice. Main customers are libraries so you feel good about providing services for them.

Cons

Upper management is out of touch and reactive. Employees are doing more work because of layoffs and afraid to leave desks because they don’t want to be laid off next. Benefits like instructor led exercise classes are gone because they laid off that person along with many others in 2025. Career opportunities are slim because positions were eliminated.
