Pros

Compensation is close to market value (if you negotiate).

Cons

If you watched the documentary/show on WeWork - you will know where I am going with this. They even have the same slogan word to word - 'We are just getting started'. They have a very high turnover rate for both interns and FTEs making it practically impossible to have consistency in work or deliveries. If you like playing video games with interns, socializing all day, and throwing around buzz words like 'innovation', 'leadership', 'culture', etc. and do 0 work, this is the place for you! Proof: Ask them what is the most innovative thing they have done so far. It will be something like 'we got Spot to "try" fetching coffee' or 'we walked Spot on a parade for advertisement'. Oh! and bonus - the CEO and a few "leaders" are egomaniacs.

- Great support from team members and supervisor - Great mentorship: Be sure that your questions and concerns will be answered and resolved - Great pay - Opportunity to work on challenging projects - Flexibility - NPX is big on giving back to the society

Pros

Decent pay, nice co-workers, exposure to Bruce Power

Cons

No one really seems to know what they’re doing but they’re all stuck in this cult/culture of “innovation” and “growth”. Not “changing the game” whatsoever, this type of work has been around for many many years. Overall poor quality of work since most employees are 4-month students. Skip the startup and just work for Bruce Power/OPG directly
