Pros

Trust to get on with the job in hand, and little need to check in with line manager. Able to influence some structures and ways things are done.

Cons

Far too bureaucratic and departments not willing to work flexibly with each other. Far too many changes occurring with posts appearing to either be created for individuals or recruitment not being transparent and going to people whose face fits.

Thank you for taking time to write this review. As an organisation we learn, improve and change to deliver great services for our customers. When a department goes through a restructure and a new post is created, it is because it's been identified as being essential to the delivery of the service we provide. NCHA aims at all times to recruit the person who is most suited to the position being advertised. Recruitment is solely on the basis of the applicant's abilities and individual merit as measured against the criteria for the job. As an Equal Opportunities and a Disability Confident Employer, NCHA applies its equal opportunities policy at all stages of recruitment and selection. Shortlisting, interviewing and selection are always carried out without regard to gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital or civil partnership status, colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origins, religion or belief, age, pregnancy or maternity leave or trade union membership

Pros

it is a job, pays less than you would get somewhere else but you will get some pay at lease

Cons

you have to fit in and play up to management very clickey and you will get pushed to the side and treated way worser if you don’t join in with them head office staff get treated really different to project staff the rules aren’t there for them just only used against the people what they don’t like no support whatsoever and talking to HR is a joke they do not care about mental health in the slightest it’s all a show to look good online there are senior jobs going on big money that never even get advertised properly they pick someone for the job and don’t matter who tries that person were always going to get it no matter what

Pros

Passionate front line staff and management (at project level), working with colleagues who really care

Cons

Them and us attitude fostered by senior leadership...project staff feel second class; pay and terms and conditions better for staff at head office. Values are for show only, often shared on social media / comms, but the reality is very different (particularly from senior leadership(
