Pros
If you are buddy-buddy with the dept. manager you can go far. Good Health package and investment package. Doctors and most floor-staff honestly care about their patients.
Cons
Some Dept. managers have been there so long they are too confident in their jobs .Laughing and gossiping about co-workers/subordinates in demeaning ways. Here lays the problems. Dept. managers have favorites in dept. and in H.R. If a worker flatters the dept. manager, has long laughing,(and whispering) private visits, and brings her goodies, they can have an easy work load. Dumping on others, going to the snack bar extremely often. If they don't', they better watch their back. They will take any opportunity to call them in with a write-up. (Three write ups and they're gone no matter how long and hard they have worked to make the Hospital. look good- whether the accusations are true or NOT.. Employees change values on equipment from other auxiliaries (and of course don't document), and those auxiliaries are blamed for it. Auxiliaries do NOT work together as a team needs to. H.R. couldn't care less. They have favorites too. They DO let you talk, but already have their minds made up. Nothing gets done.
