Pros

Great onboarding process and first couple weeks. Felt very welcomed. Sales leadership is extremely helpful, motivating, and knowledgeable. No micromanagement. Sales process is very ethical and intended to provide the best interests for each client. Stellar work from home culture. I feel very connected to my team and a lot of weekly interaction. I feel involved in the company culture Many opportunities to attend trade shows and conferences. Great commission plan, reasonable quota, and love the frequent financial incentives. Work life balance is fantastic, management actively encourages taking time of.

Cons

A few things could be fine tuned with the onboarding and underwriting process. Forms are outdated and clunky. Reduce some manual processes. Base pay could be considered low to some, though the commission plan is great and there are weekly financial incentives as well. Only criticism is the lack of observed holidays. NAB recognizes the main major ones like July 4th, Thanksgiving, Xmas, but not ones like MLK Jr. Day or Indigenous peoples day. Would be nice to recognize them as a holiday so people can spend time mindfully observing these days, otherwise it does not seem like corporate NAB cares too much about them.

I am so grateful for your feedback and happy that overall your time with NAB has been valuable and positive...GREAT news! Everyone involved in the onboarding process did high 5s when they read your positive feedback because we put so much time, effort and energy into the onboarding process knowing how important it is for all of our new hires. As for your Con's and Advice to Management, I wanted to "go to the source" for an informed response to your feedback, so I reached out to BRIAN SHAW, SENIOR DIRECTOR OF UNDERWRITING to address your concerns. He was grateful for the opportunity, here is his response: "Thank you for reaching out to me for feedback on this review. In the underwriting department we believe that all feedback is a gift, so it is good to hear about reviews like this. I'm also happy to see that this team member's overall review of NAB was positive. In response to their feedback in the "Cons" and "Advice to Management" sections, they appear to be referencing NAB's simplified enrollment portal where applications and forms are housed and filled out. Although my department receives the eventual output that the simplified enrollment system generates (a new merchant submission to underwrite), we don't actually have direct oversight of that technology or have the ability to improve it. My department actually has a more difficult time underwriting new submissions because the amount of information required to submit an account through simplified enrollment has been intentionally reduced to make the application process as quick and easy as possible for merchants and sales partners. With that said, in regards to fine tuning the onboarding and underwriting process, we are laser focused on removing any and all unnecessary friction for our sales partners and merchants. We are constantly revisiting our policies and procedures to find additional efficiencies that we can pass on to our customers. Our ultimate goal is to approve as many merchants as possible while providing the best experience possible for our sales partners and merchants. We will continue to work on improving our underwriting process, and we appreciate the feedback from this team member. " On last thing I wanted to address was your comment about not recognizing more federal holidays. We offer a generous holiday time off schedule as well as personal days and birthdays off. As the company migrates to "Flexible PTO" we have communicated to our team members that they should take off those holidays and personal celebrations that are most important to them through our flexible PTO system and I encourage you to do the same. Brian and I both hope you find this response helpful and informative, but if you wish to discuss further please feel free to reach out at any time. Thank you again for taking time to provide this positive review, we never take that for granted!

Pros

Joining this company has been well beyond my expectations. The culture is incredibly supportive, for the talent team (Mollie) combined with the training, nothing has beenless than exceptional, and the benefits reflect a true investment in employees. It's easy to understand why the company was recognized as one of the best fintech companies to work for in 2023. From day one, I've felt welcomed, valued, and set up for success. I feel incredibly humbled and grateful to be part of such a talented and people-focused organization. If you get the chance.. dont hesitate

Cons

Wished I had started my career here years ago!

Everyone on the team was absolutely thrilled to read this, and it is a true honor to have you working with us as a Partnership Director. We are glad our training and benefits made you feel supported from day one. We work hard to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed and supported from the start! This is what we call being Experience Focused. Your shout out to our training program also hits right at the heart of our core value of Intellectual Curiosity AND gave our Learning & Development team a reason to high five, so I am grateful for that! Pros

I’ve worked at North for several years and have had the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally during my time here. One of the biggest positives is that the company promotes from within and gives people opportunities to advance if they consistently perform and take initiative. Leadership roles are attainable, and hard work does get recognized. The sales environment is fast-paced and performance driven, which can be a great fit for motivated individuals who enjoy challenges and growth. I’ve worked with a lot of genuinely supportive coworkers and leaders who are willing to help newer employees develop their skills. Like most sales organizations, there can be pressure tied to goals and metrics, and work-life balance may fluctuate depending on your role and workload. The pace is not for everyone, especially if you prefer a slower or more structured environment. Communication and processes can also evolve quickly, which sometimes creates growing pains. Overall, I would recommend the company to someone who is ambitious, coachable, and looking for long-term growth opportunities in sales or payments. Your experience here will largely depend on the effort you put in and your willingness to adapt in a high-performance environment.

Cons

My cons aren’t really cons. My entire review is a pro.
