can be a way to announce the existence of your business to consumers who are unfamiliar with your products or services. You get to entice potential customers to try your goods. The idea is that they are going to like it so much that they will come back and buy from you again. You must make your promotion grab consumers but at the same time increase your potential conversion rate for repeat customers
Cons
Businesses should realize there is such a thing as a "bad" or low margin customer. It's very hard to recoup a low margin sale. It is possible to get a "new" user who found price a barrier to your overall value prop / brand. Now you have to offer a REALLY great experience (good luck if you are struggling with a whole bunch of discount hounds) to get them to come back at full price! And heaven forbid you have folks in your establishment paying full price (which is what you want!!!) while the groupers are feeding. My verdict - stay away...
