Pros
1) There used to be a Gym and Food Allowance which was good but it's sadly not there anymore. 2) There were some great people working there but they've left the company now and the layoffs didn't help as well.
Cons
1) The company is very pale. Diversity is almost non existent and you feel very isolated. Even in town halls you could hardly see any representation whatsoever and no attempt to try to call out the diversity gap. I say that as someone who was pushed to give an interview to a third-party publication to show the company in good light and I felt completely used as a front for a diverse company when in actuality nobody truly wanted to understand and deal with the concerns of a diverse employee.The worst part is that our manager did not even make an effort to acknowledge the cultural gap, get know us, check in on how we can work best together etc. 2) Some of the new management come with an air of superiority and would stop nothing short of public dismissal. For Example, there was a time when I was out on my lunch break with my colleagues and my manager came into the break room and publicly declared that the numbers on one of the documents that I had helped them put together were off. I was so embarrassed with half the food in my mouth I silently nodded that I'll come to them and check out what the matter was. When we were in the privacy of the meeting room they quickly checked and said that it was an understanding issue and now that they understand the numbers it all makes sense. It's said that good management praises you in public and criticises you in private but the situation here was more often than not completely opposite. 3) Utter Chaos and lack of basic communication skills. My manager would be terrible at replying to emails and then ping on slack for updates. Even when you would give them a detailed explanation of what is going on they would ask you about the same thing in a group meeting. They were terrible at keeping all communication in one place and the blame for not being on top of things would often fall on the head of a the team rather than the leadership. All in all one can take these experiences as something you grow from but I really hope that the company values it's current employees while looking at ways to improve their working environment.
