Pros

-The day to day people you interact with are brilliant, kind and hard working people. -The offices are nice and well taken care of. -Good snacks. -Can dogfood games. -Benefits are decent. -Some managers are fantastic -Fun community days and opportunity to go to Gofest -Get to learn more about the available games and new features -Remote work is possible but only after gaining enough trust

Cons

-favoritism is very obvious -CEO and leadership say they take accountability without any actions to prove it. Multiple games were either rushed or should not have been launched. It seems they are trying to find more revenue streams but are unsuccessful. Some of those in leadership seem burnt out. -They don’t listen to their community who clearly state they don’t want another repackaged PGO game -Depending on the team there are some doing the work of 4 people. This has become worse after the layoffs -Starting to feel like a lot of workers no longer respect or trust leadership. -The AR platform is okay, but not strong enough to compete with top players. -Male dominant in a noticeable way

Pros

Truly one of the best companies I have worked for! There is a genuine care for our people, our culture and DEI. There has been a lot of change over the past few years, but our commitment to our mission, our people and our players has remained constant. We have a solid core leadership team and although the integration into Scopely has been a journey, who we are remains true and is showing up in everything we do. Honored to work here - best job of my professional career.

Cons

RTO and some recent changes in benefits through the Scopely acquisition

Pros

Niantic has a unique mission and works on products that blend technology, gaming, community, and real-world exploration. The people are generally smart, passionate, and collaborative, and there are opportunities to work on creative projects with global impact. The company also offers a good learning environment for those interested in gaming, AR, live operations, and location-based products.

Cons

Priorities can shift frequently, which sometimes makes it difficult for teams to stay focused or understand how their work connects to the broader company strategy. Communication from leadership could be clearer, especially during periods of change. Some processes feel reactive rather than proactive, and cross-functional alignment can vary depending on the team.
