Great mission, Terrible leadership - Anonymous employee Nexus Health Systems Employee Review

Pros

Nexus has great staff who truly care about their residents/patients. Nexus NeuroRecovery in Conroe, TX is one of the most beautiful venues I've ever seen, especially for a rehab. Nexus works with a patient population that very few are willing to take (TBIs with behavioral issues).

Cons

Some of the worst leadership I've ever seen. Very high turnover at ever level of leadership. Blind leading the blind. Due to consistent low census, they have cut pay for nearly everyone and operate on a shoe string budget (at best). The sales team (which I was a part of) do not get bonuses unless the whole company meets certain financial bench marks and since they are in the red month in/month out, bonuses simply don't happen. Gee, wonder why census is low?!? If you are looking for long term career, keep looking! These guys will likely close down soon if not sold (which I actually heard is in the works).

Pros

Small dedicated hospital, great location and supervisors. Pay is adequate and bonus is offered for extra shifts.

Cons

Unable to self schedule, on a matrix schedule system.

Pros

Absolutely no process of working at this company. One of the worst experiences, I had second to the ICU.

Cons

-Extremely toxic management: they will scapegoat you and try to steal your ideas. Management has no idea what they’re doing and it’s extremely obvious. They try to blame employees for their own downfalls and steal any creative solution solutions employees come up with. - The company itself is a joke and is unethical. They abuse kids here and turn a blind eye to complaints. They use fake reviews and try to minimize employee concerns about endangerment and safety.
