Pros

Good people, great camaraderie between everyone in the office. Only one or two people in the very small office were obviously in a bit over their head. The rest were a mix of highly motivated and highly skilled. Great place to learn from one another, and management did not mind spending days of planning before jumping into an implementation.

Cons

The learning you will do is purely from meetings and interaction with the other employees. The tasks were menial, repetitive, fruitless. Employees did not hide their frustrations about the lack of challenging and meaningful work. The sales force had too many leaders and conflicting strategies that left the IT team to start, restart, and abandon many endeavors. But... ALL of this is a distraction from the actual core business. Before you interview there, you should research the companies "ShopLoop" (as stamped on your paycheck), and the "Email Discount Network" settlement notice.

Pros

The technical challenges faced allow for personal and career growth and keep you invested. The ability to work with best of breed technology and constantly evolve your skillset.

Cons

The expectation is to work 24/7, whenever the job needs you. The executive reasoning is that they pay more than the standard so they expect more from their employees. It is standard operating procedure to sign an agreement that anything you develop on, or off company time belongs to the company.
